Glenn and I would like to wish you and yours a wonderful, blessed holiday season. Unlike the inns at Bethlehem 2000 years ago, there is always room in our hearts, as well as our minds, for everyone.
We hope that as your day unfolds, you are able to enjoy the little things, the big things, and everything in between. We pray that the holiday season will be a time of joy, a time of reflection, and a time of peace-filled joy. For all those families in need of repair, for all those families separated over Christmas, such as military families, we pray that the season not fill you with sadness, but rather solace.
In Geography, there is the concept of an inward-facing capitol, and an outward-facing capitol. Examples of both would be Moscow, Russia; and St. Petersburg, Russia, respectively. An inward capitol is one in which the focal point is the country itself, and the country’s own individual livelihood – an outward capitol is one in which the country thrusts itself into the international community, working to develop in cohesion with the rest of humanity.
We ask you, this Christmas season, as you reflect upon your year, your life, and the coming year: are you inward-facing, or are you outward-facing, and which would you rather be?
To shift gears, Glenn and I do have a Christmas announcement for you.
As many of you may realize, I write critical analyses of NFL football, specifically centered on the Carolina Panthers, and I have done this for multiple years. I have now written a book, which SRG Publications will be releasing in the coming weeks as an ebook. The working title is Going Beyond: Vision, the NFL, and the 2010 Carolina Panthers.
This book takes many of the concepts that I have discussed in articles during the 2010 NFL Season, plus other concepts that I have yet to bring to the forefront, and packages them in a way that teaches football, much as Glenn’s Explosive Growth teaches Growth. It will provide means of analysis, and tools for the future. My ebook will serve as an excellent example of Critical Thinking, as well as define the role of Coaches, how to pick players in the NFL Draft, display the vital need for Mentoring, and will explore many other topics, concepts, and ideas.
We will make pre-orders of the ebook available soon, but for now, we again wish you a Merry Christmas, and hope that your day will indeed be merry. As Tiny Tim says, “God bless us, everyone!”
